Oh Electralog, how I love thee,
You give me such joy and glee.

Your fake flames are so neat,
I love when you warm up my feet.

You give me warmth in the bitter cold,
Me in front of you my boyfriend likes to hold.

I like to spend time with you and Kono,
You even have a remote, Hello!

I wish I could take you with me to work,
or just sit in front of you and all my responsibilities shirk.

Life is Funny

When I first met Dom, I couldn’t stand him. After meeting him once, he acted like he knew me “Who does this kid think he is?” Then there were the hugs. Creepiness. “Don’t touch me!” Then one day, when I was having a rough time, I knew I could count on him for a hug. Over the years, we grew close. Actually, it was just in the last couple of years. We’ve had a lot of fun together, and I know he’s always good for a strong, true hug. Now, he’s moving across the country. I had my last Dom hug today. Then I cried almost all the way home. Life is funny. I’ll miss my pal, Dom.

More Kevinisms

I kept Kevin another night because his mom (and mine) were stuck at the Cape in the snow. We've been having brown water whenever we turn on the tub water. However, if you shut it off after a few seconds, drain it, and put new water in, it's fine. Anyway, Kevin said the water was brown today and I was like, "No it isn't. It's fine." So a little later I told him to go in and check on the water. I meant the water level, but he came back and said, "The water's not brown. It is after you wash the dirties off, though."

At lunch today, Kevin was nervous becuase there was a ladybug. I tried to tell him that it wouldn't hurt him, but it was still upsetting him. I said, "Aren't you the bug killer at your house?"
Kevin: I was.
Michelle: What happened?
Kevin: Some guy fired me.
Michelle: Haha oh really? Who?
Kevin: My ladybug killing boss.

A few minutes Later....
Kevin: I used to be the bug killer, but I'm taking a break.

So I'm babysitting the love of my life, Kevin, for the WHOLE weekend! He's 8. Last night we went out to dinner with two of my friends, one of which used to be his sunday school teacher. Then we rented Flubber. Good times.

Before going to bed, Kevin found my little stuffed lamb. The conversation went something like this:

Kevin: What's his name?

Me: Lamby

Kevin: He smells like you.

Me: Really? What do I smell like?

Kevin: (pauses to think) Him!

Today, for breakfast, we had waffles. I gave him two. He wanted another.

Me: Are you sure you want another waffle? That's a lot.

Kevin: My mom lets me have 3....... because I'm a lucky man.

hahahahahahah I love him!

Kono

Santa gave me a blanket for Christmas. The most amazing blanket EVER. It is so soft and cuddly I was under it for about a week straight. This blanket is not like other blankets. It is so incredible that I decided it needed a name. So, after some deliberation, I named him Kono. This was my mom's idea, actually.

My parents and I love the old show Hawaii 5-0 (that's another post) and I bought my dad the 5th season for Christmas. We were a little dissapointed (at least I was) to see that Kono, one of the cops, was replaced. Suddenly he was gone and Ben was there in his place. No warning. No goodbye. Just gone. So in his memory, I named my blanket after him.

The name has stuck. My mom, my best friend and I all refer to the blanket by his name. Here's a picture of him calling me while I was at work.
